Following in the footprints of Jesus

We are a group of Christians living on the northern side of Brisbane who try to live by the Word of God in all that we do.

We reject the confusion and hypocrisy of modern corporate churches, believing that the Word of God, the Bible, is God's message to mankind and that "all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16, Webster).

Embracing the uncomplicated and respectful form of worship adopted by the disciples of the First Century, we are content with being Christians and Christians only.  God's Word is our only "creed".  It is our only authority for what we teach.

Rejecting centuries of false teaching from various religious leaders and so-called "Christian denominations" that continue to fragment and divide God's people, we endeavour to follow the teachings of Jesus and his apostles – to follow in the footprints of Jesus.

  • We believe that the Bible is God’s message to mankind and is our sole authority in teaching.

  • We believe that the pattern for Christ’s church is clearly laid out in the New Testament and is as relevant today as it was in the 1st Century.

  • We have no denominational name or system of church organisation, choosing to follow the New Testament pattern instead.

  • Our leaders do not adopt or accept unscriptural titles.

  • We are completely independent of any other church or religious organisation.

  • Our worship consists only of those things observed by the church in New Testament times.

Acts 17:11, "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."

ACTS 11:26

"And the disciples of Jesus were called Christians first in Antioch."

MATTHEW 28:18-20

"And Jesus came, and spoke to them, saying, All power is given to me in heaven and upon earth.

Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Teaching them to observe all things whatever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world. Amen."
