Following in the footprints of Jesus

THE WORSHIP OF JESUS' CHURCH...

Jesus' church in New Testament times had a simple, uncomplicated style of worship, unlike the detailed and ritualistic form of worship practised by the Jews under the Law of Moses.

Much of the confusion in the religious world today has arisen because many churches have reverted to forms of worship found in the Old Testament rather than following the pattern of worship found in the New Testament.

As we study the New Testament, we find no mention of candles, incense, priestly robes, altars, or elaborate "church" buildings or temples.  All these things, as well as different styles of music not found in the New Testament church, have been added by men in the centuries since the apostles began preaching the gospel message a few weeks after His death on the cross.

We will look in detail at every Scripture relating to the worship of the New Testament church...
